On May 5, 2020, the community voted to fill 2 open positions on the RWSD Board of Directors. The District mailed 7,211 ballots and received 668 voted ballots. There were 5 candidates to fill 2 three-year terms on the Board. All the candidates provided bios summarizing their experience and interest in serving on the Board, and the bios were posted on the District’s website.
David G. Bane and Kenneth W. Maas received the most votes with 403 and 398 votes, respectively. Both new Board members will be sworn in and begin serving at the regularly scheduled Board meeting on May 20, 2020.
Thanks to all the candidates for throwing your hats in the ring. It was great to have so many well-qualified candidates willing to give of their time and talent. Next Board election will be May 3, 2022, when 3 seats on the Board will be open.
